A quick post, revisiting two of our Port Macquarie favourites:
First up, a selection of gorgeous cakes at Bittersweet Cafe Patisserie, Lighthouse Beach.
A lovely Caramel Banoffee Pie ($8). Yes, all that cream was for one person, but it wasn't sweetened and went perfectly with the caramel, fresh banana and super crumbly, buttery short crust base to create a treat that was delicious without being sickly.
Bittersweet Cafe Patisserie and Town Green Inn
Lemon Meringue Pie ($7.50) piled high with light crisp meringue on a tart lemon curd.
Bittersweet Cafe Patisserie and Town Green Inn
White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake ($8), dense, moist and rich. Love the big fresh strawberries on top!

Second, dinner at the Town Green Inn, Port Macquarie.
Entree of Bruschetta ($9). A little skimpy on the tomato, but the olive oil was fragrant and the bread very fresh and toasty.

300g Angus Sirloin with seasonal vegies ($34). A generous steak, perfectly cooked and seasoned.

The "Break-wall" Pizza ($22) on the all day pizza menu. This was AWESOME! So many favourite foods on the one pizza. Chunks of steak, sweet potato, prawns and I added ham, all smothered in melty cheese.

Ok, so it isn't traditional, and purists would not call it a pizza, but it was soo good and I have serious cravings to go back ASAP. I need to find an excuse to get to Port this weekend...
